Description
Barn range which appears to be of mid 19th century date according to the detail of the exterior and roof construction, but from the appearance of some of the stonework may be of 17th or 18th century origin, and later remodelled. It is constructed of thinly coursed sandstone with a slate roof and a timber cupola with a leaded ogee-curve roof over the threshing bay, which is set left of centre. Over the right hand storage bays are three domdded louvre vents with felted roofs.

The threshing bay has a narrow gabled porch on the front elevation, which appears to be a later addition. Beneath the gable is a high doorway, and a number of dove boxes. To the left hand bays are smal triangular vents, and to the right are slit vents. the far right hand bay has opposing narrow doorways, the one on the front elevation having voussoirs. there is a section of limewash on the front elevation which may indicate a now lost extension.

The right end elevation has a pitching door with an arched head, and a wide, inserted opening below. The rear elevation has scars of cross-ranges to either side of the threshing bay, and evidence of two tiers of triangular vents in the bays flanking the threshing bays, indicative of a pre-19th century date. The end bay has slit vents suggesting it is an addition.
