According to the scheduling details (GM589), this site is a ruined, substantial manor house believed to date principally to the sixteenth or early seventeenth century, with relict gardens consisting of three walled enclosures, the largest of which s terraced, and a further terraced area. Of considerable archaeological potential, the site inclues two raised platforms which may have been the bases of summerhouses, and a domed pigcote.
