Description
Extensive set of plough-denuded terraced fields, surviving as earthworks to the immediate south of the Afon Artro at Llanbedr. These extend to the north, south and east of Plas y Bryn farm covering about 400m square. No obvious focal points of hut groups or platforms can be seen within the field system. Discovered during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance in low winter light on 24th January 2005, neg. ref.s AP_2005_0080.

Following recent analysis of aerial photography and Lidar by Bryn Gethin, the earthworks of a circular defended enclosure, measuring approx. 45m in diameter, with an adjoining field to the north was discovered. This enclosure is approx. 150m to the north-east of Plas y Bryn farm.
