Formerly carrying the northern section of the Manchester and Milford Railway (nprn 91660) line over a minor road, immediately to the south of Penpontbren Junction (nprn 301485), the bridge has masonry abutments with brick spandrels and parapet and a semi-circular arch of five courses or rings of brick.
