DescriptionA battle is alleged to have taken place on Mynydd Llangynwir (Llangeinwyr), where a number of Breconians were slain, including their leader. They had been pursued there by the men of Glamorgan after having slain Jenkin Mathew and having rifled and spoilt the Michaelmas fair at Bridgend. The bodies of the slain were carried by oxen to Llangynwr (Llangeinor), where they were buried in a great heap in the north part of the churchyard [nprn 401518], where it can still be seen today.
