A cake press house (No.29 on the Nobel Plan), where the milled powder mass was compressed by high pressure into 1-inch thick slabs. These were then broken up into smaller pieces and put into barrels. The building was erected before 1877 and served by a siding off the tramway. Power was provided from a nearby pump house (NPRN:405085). The Press House has been demolished but the depression where the structure once stood can be discerned.
