DescriptionA weir constructed at the western tip of a small island in the river. In 1877, this incorporated a footbridge in its structure, and a sluice on the south side, to supply the Lower Leat (NPRN:405092). By 1904 the footbridge had been removed (superseded by the tramway bridge downstream NPRN:405093). By 1918 the northern channel was also controlled by a sluice. The masonry weir and remains of the footbridge piers survive.
