Description
A magazine (No.37 on the Nobel Plan) where part-processed powder, presumably that awaiting treatment in the Glazing House (NPRN:405100), was stored. Built before 1877, the building survives relatively intact, complete with its barrel-vault roof. Masonry walls and a bick vault roof, with iron tie-rods linking the tops of the side walls. The Upper Leat (NPRN:405081) was carried across the front of the building at a high level and the stone pillars that supported the launder are still extant.
