Isolated square barrow, with central grave pit, aligned east-west, sited on rounded summit of ridge to the north-east of Castell Perthi-mawr Iron Age fort. Discovered during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance on 21 July 2006 (see frame AP_2006_2861). Place name recorded on Dyfed HER (PRN 5873) 'Bryn-mynach', possibly indicative of monastic land, may be significant.
