Description
Cropmarks of a roughly rectangular ditched enclosure, in the region of 50m east-west by 30-35m, appear on an aerial photograph taken by John Sorrell.
The enclosure lies some 140m east of the site of a Roman villa (NPRN 405453).

Source: A.G. Mein 1995 Five Lanes, Caerwent, in Archaeology in Wales 35, 54-5.

The enclosure may represent part of a widespread rectinear field system, elements of which have been recorded at Oaklands Farm (NPRN 405455) and about Trewen (NPRN 260018, 302142).
