Description
Probably built in early 19th century as the boathouse for Porthamel Hall, situated in Llanidan community. The hall was remodelled, probably during the 18th century and the boathouse was built with a similar Gothick facade.

An early 19th century, castellated, Gothic style house constructed of rubble masonry which has been rendered and colourwashed. It has a symmetrically planned main elevation overlooking the Menai Strait. This is a two storey, 5-window range, with the outer bays advanced and carried up as angle towers. The front has castellated parapets with a band below, and is lit by sash windows with pointed arches and with glazing bars which are interlaced at the head. There is a four-centred arched entrance in flat roofed porch, and modern, flat roofed extensions to the rear.

The interior has been modernised, and retains no original features of note.
