Description
A mid-19th century, stone-built, corrugated-iron roofed, 4-bay cow-house with 2-door entry, lateral tethering (removed) and 2-tier ventilation slits. A small lean-to on the south-west side was for housing calves.
Internally the floors and tethering frame have been removed. However there is a stone manger against the north-east wall and a hay rack. There are holes in the walls for cross ceiling-beams and holes in the gable-ends for joists. A loading doorway in the north-west gable-end to the former hay loft is now blocked in stone. The roof has 3 plain tie-beam trusses bolted together at the tie-beam, single side-purlins and a vertical ridge.
