Denuded oval earthwork enclosure, originally mistaken for a prehistoric settlement or defensive enclosure when identified from aerial photographs. A wider view of the Baron Hill estate parkland (NPRN 265104) shows a nearly identical extant oval enclosure lying c.390m to the west which would originally have formed a pair with the former enclosure, both designed as eye-catching landscape features within the parkland.
