This was originally a farm called 'Ty Hir', with a longhouse plan. The original house was at the right end and the cowhouse was to the left. The building was converted into three terraced cottages in the mid C19 and formed part of the Plas Newydd Estate, one of the largest estates on Anglesey. A building is shown on the site on the Tithe Map of 1844, which is listed as one entry in the census returns for the parish in 1851, and listed as 3 entries in subsequent returns.
