A steel footbridge of twentieth century construction, it connects visitors from a car park on top of the canal embankment to a lower point next to the canal close to the Chainbridge Hotel. It also provides access to the Horseshoe Fall Weir. It is 6m high, 8.6m long and 1.2m wide.
