DescriptionRed-brick detached canal-side house built for a canal maintenance foreman at the south end of Chirk Aqueduct on the Llangollen Canal. The house was built at the turn of the 20th century (after 1891) and sits on an enormous earth embankment which carries the canal, close to the site of the original construction yard and quarry for Chirk Aqueduct. Since 1978 it has been leased to non-canal employees. The original privy and pig-sty remain at the northern end of the garden.
