A purpose built shop, originally an ironmongers, built on the north side of the former George Hotel (NPRN 96506), presumably after it had ceased to be the vicarage in 1905. By the 1920s this had become the Queen Bee Polish Factory, producing or retailing floor, boot and metal polishes. The boilers and wax melting vats remained in situ prior to the building's demolition in the 1990s.
This was a two storey building with cellars below, under a slate roof, hipped to the north with ornate ridge tiles and a finial at the north. It presented an ornate facade to George Street. The ground floor had a four bay shopfront with plate glass windows divided by red and yellow brick piers. The upper floor was rendered with four windows. The rear and side facades were more utilitarian.
