Lan Colliery, in use in the 1870s but disused before 1900, was served by the Doctor's Tramroad (nprn 407018). A stretch of of the tramroad formation passes in front of the 1860s level entrance (at ST 05837 90540) some 100m to the north west of the coal mine.
