Description
In 1809 the entrepreneur Dr. Richard Griffiths constructed a tramroad to carry coal from collieries in the lower Rhondda Valley to the head of Doctor's Canal (nprn 85391) at Glyntaff, and thence to the Glamorganshire Canal (nprn 34425). The line, which crossed the River Taff by a bridge (nprn 96185), was eventually some 9km long.
