Description
New Inn public house is said to have been built in 1799 and is shown on the Llantrisant tithe map of 1841. It is a two-storey buiding with roughcast render over stone, under a slate roof with rebuilt brick end stacks. An early photograph of the inn shows it without the render and with the sash windows under wedge lintels and the doorway with stone voussoirs. It now has a moulded round headed doorway containing a recessed six-panel door and a fan-light with radial glazing. It also has wide eight-over-eight-pane hornless sash windows in heavy surrounds. The rear of the building is constructed of rubble stone and has a long rear wing with a central brick ridge stack.
