Brecon Road was a station on the Merthyr Tredegar and Abergavenny (later London and North Western) Railway of 1862, and lay 1.6km west of its junction with the Newport Abergavenny and Hereford (later Great Western) Railway line at Abergavenny Junction (nprn 407763). Brecon Road station closed in 1958, although the line remained open for freight until 1971, and was subsequently demolished and built over.
