DescriptionThis decoy airfield for RAF Valley or Q site was sited in sand dunes. It became operational in 1941 with standard Drem lights being used to mark out the dummy runway at night. The decoy was maintained by a corporal and three airmen from an enlarged Anderson shelter. The decoy remained in use until 1943. The Anderson shelter was left extant but is now covered by the sand dunes.
