A post-World War II squatter's dwelling erected in a quarry near Whitland, possibly by an ex-serviceman. A photograph of the dwelling under the heading "Lives in a Shack" appeared in the 'Western Telegraph Almanac' for 1950 with this caption: "A 'Telegraph' photograph of the shack in which Mr Jack Harries lives near Whitland.
