DescriptionThe site of the water powered corn mill is shown and named on all three editions of the 25-inch OS maps, but the mill building, approximately 30 metres north-east of the former miller's house which still stands, has completely disappeared and landfill has obliterated the mill stream. In 1975 the large round wooden mainshaft, with a wooden built-up compass-spoked gear 1.93 metres in diameter and mortices for the great spur wheel spokes, lay close to the site in the open air.
