Description
A ruined sheepfold of trapezoidal shape lies on the east bank of Nant y Gwair at 470m above OD. It measures 4.5m (E-W) by 3.8m (E) and 2.3m (W) within roughly coursed, drystone rubble and slab walls up to 1m high and 0.6m thick. There are possible entrances, obscured by tumble, at the north-east corner and half way down the south side, the latter flanked by 0.75m of ruined walling. A third entrance on the south-west is likewise obscured. A sheep creep is visble in the south-east corner. The north wall projects east for 5m as a low stony bank, offset slightly to the north, and forms the north side of a broad platformed area, possibly natural, at the foot of the valley cutting. The west wall of the fold projects northwards as 1.5m of coursed walling.

Some 15m to the south-west is an amorphous stony mound about 8m across and 0.6m high. Its north side incorporates a small trapeziodal U-shaped enclosure defined by three lines of stones, open to the north. It measures 2.6m long (N-S) by 1.5m wide on the north, 1m wide on the south. The south side of the mound has been hollowed out 0.2m deep.
