DescriptionFelin-Engan is the name now given to this area in general. The right to construct a mill, Melin Engan, was granted in exchange for land surrendered for the building of Beaumaris Castle (R. O. Roberts).
There is a marked fall in the stream (the Afon Rhyd-Eilian) at this point, and the dwelling close to the stream is still called 'Mill House', but the historic OS maps contain no references to water power being used at this site.
