Guise and Lees (Windmills of Anglesey, Attic Books 1992, pp31-34) draw on descriptions which show that the mill was a large one, and may have had stones on two floors. It is shown as in use on the 1st and 2nd editions of the 25-inch OS maps (1889 and 1900), but was disused by the 3rd edition of 1924. It operated, latterly with only two sails, until 1917 when the cap was dislodged by a storm. In 1918 the mill and adjoining land were sold but the mill did not work again.
