DescriptionA building is shown, but not identified, on the 1st and 2nd editions of the 25-inch OS maps (1889 and 1900). By 1924, the date of the 3rd edition, it had disappeared. Guise and Lees (Windmills of Anglesey, Attic Books 1992, pp 31-32) record that the mill was in existence pre-1771, and that in the 1860s it was worked by Hugh Jones who in 1862 built the adjacent windmill (NPRN 408074). It probably became derelict soon after his death in 1880. The large millpond is shown as silted up on the 1st edition map.
In November 2008 the millpond and leat were still visible, but no trace of the building could be seen, except an excavation which may mark the site of the waterwheel.
