Description
A large stone, unveiled on 01 March 1986, commemorates the Battle of Gower, or Loughor, (nprn 404856). The stone is 2.2m high and stands on a flat-topped mound some 12m in diameter and 0.75m high. Cut into the south-facing front of the stone is the date '1136' and on the south side of the mound are set two slate plaques, one with an inscription in Welsh and one in English, commemorating the battle.
