Vestigial earthworks remain of system of terraced fields to the west and south-west of Aber village, surviving on the low-lying coastal plain at around 40m above O.D. The earthwork traces were recorded during Royal Commission aerial photography in very low November light in 2005 (image refs: AP_2005_2872 & 2874-5). The fields may have originated in prehistory, or be related to the once thriving medieval settlement at Aber.
