The group of buildings known as Pandy on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey of 1875 indicates that this was once a Fulling Mill for beating and cleaning cloth. The 1st edition map also shows an area of Tenters running between Pandy and Abbey Farm, this would have been the area where washed cloth was stretched out to dry.
