Description
A partitioned rectangular foundation lies on a natural terrace at the end of a spur between Nant Pennig (on its south) and a tributary stream (on its north). Overall the building measures 9m (E-W) by 4.3m. A cross wall divides it into two bays, the larger on the east (3.8m by 3m internally), the smaller on the west (about 2.5m square). The walls are of drystone construction in roughly coursed slabs and blocks now rising to no more than 0.5m high. Edge-set slabs define the interior east end. The inside of the building is strewn with rubble and it is possible that much of the visible cross wall results from recent shelter building.
