Description
On the north bank of the stream at 448m OD lies a structure which takes the form of a roughly circular mound traversed by a linear hollow aligned E-W.
The mound measures 5m in diameter and 0.6m high. It appears to have been revetted on its N side but is otherwise grass grown. The hollow is 3m long and 0.25m deep and terminates where it meets a boulder incorporated in the mound at its W end. The E end of the hollow is flanked by two edge-set slabs as if forming a `portal? to a `passage?. The mound is possibly a collapsed store for food/dairy products, or a pen for small livestock, linked to nearby longhuts.
