Description
On the N bank of the stream at 430m OD, raised slightly above it, lie the remains of a rectangular drystone building, one of two in close proximity (see also NPRN 408234).
It measures 8m (N-S) by 4.6m overall. The walls are mostly tumbled but the E end wall survives to 1.2m high and 0.75m thick, built of coursed rubble and slightly battered. There is an entrance gap 0.7m wide in the N wall. The interior is rush grown and strewn with rubble. Adjacent to the E end wall is an annex of different build as suggested by an enclosed area 3.6m (E-W) by 2.2m within a stony bank 1m wide and 0.4m high with some small boulders.
