DescriptionThe southernmost of two round cairns is located on a low, natural summit towards the head of the Gwys Fawr valley. It is a mound of loose, mixed grade rubble surrounded by a stony rim consolidated with grasses and moss. It measures 10m (N-S) by 9m and about 1m high. There are clear signs of disturbance. The rim on the south side is ragged, and the interior has been hollowed out at its centre and elsewhere on northern half of the mound where a grassy base is exposed in several places. No structural features are visible.
The second cairn lies some 220m to the north-north-east (NPRN 406540).
