Part of NPRN 40590. Waste trimings from the shaping of slates and slabs was tipped on the east side of the mill, across the valley floor and burying the course of the stream. the courses of many temporary tramways can be traced, fanning out from the building and from a tramway which ran along the outside east wall of the northern half of the mill. The fine waste is close to the mill and spreading out to the north, whilst coarse waste predominates to the south and east.
