Description
Oval, univallate defended enclosure, sited on sloping ground on spine of south-east facing ridge between two river valleys. The enclosure is a very denuded earthwork, measuring approximately 120m NW/SE by 70m SW/NE, enclosing some 0.73 hectares. The site was discovered during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance on 16th October 2008 (image refs: AP_2008_3074 to 3083). It lies alongside an ancient road or trackway (NPRN 408369) running downslope on the north-east side of the ridge, which is undated but may have prehistoric or Roman origins.

T. Driver, RCAHMW, 24th October 2008.
