Description
Although not noted in the scheduling designation for a deserted rural settlement (CM306), the remains of a second long hut seem likely to be part of it.
The site lies on the south bank of the Nant Melyn and about 20m to the east of the Sawdde valley trackway. It survives as a T-shaped stony bank incorporating boulders and facing stones. The remains measure overall 7m (E-W) by 5.5m, 1.5m wide and about 0.4m high. A line of four close-set boulders embedded in the bank is its most prominent feature and suggests an artificial origin.
