Description
This well-preserved building platform lies on a moderately steep south-facing slope above the north bank of Nant Melyn. The platform terrace, sloping gently to the south, measures 16m long (N-S) by 4.5m wide at its lower end, 7m wide at the upper end. It is cut back into rising ground to a depth of 1m and built out to 0.6m high. The overall dimensions of the structure are 25m long by 12.5m wide at the upper end. The terrace itself is grassy and featureless. On the NE side of the site is a narrow hollowed trail which follows a course from stream cutting uphill to the north-west.
This structure is quite different in character from nearby long-huts and shelters and is possibly earlier in date.
