1. Site remains, possibly of Danish origin and one of oldest Welsh textile mills (?). Now a caravan site.
M. Ashby, 1979.
2. The site is shown and annotated on the first edition 25in Ordnance Survey map of 1888 as 'Forge Factory (Spinning)' and on the second edition of 1905 as 'Forge Factory (Flannel)'. It lies adjacent to the north side of a mill race, which starts at a weir across the Afon Leri some 260m to the east; the tail race returning water to the river is some 420m long.
