Description
Hen Eglwys Pant Dwr was, in the early eighteenth century, a 'haffotty' - summer shielding, but local tradition states that prior to that it had been a church with attached burial ground. By 1910 the only traces of the building were dry stone foundations, reaching approximately 50cm in height, a 2m high gable wall, and remains of a boundary wall. It is likely that these had formed a small farmstead in which simple religious services may have been held.
