DescriptionRCAHMW aerial reconnaissance on 25th July 2006 recorded a feint circular cropmark in dry grassland immediately south of Bryn Celli Ddu chambered tomb (NPRN 93827). The cropmark is likely to represent the buried remains of a plough-levelled burial cairn or barrow c.10m diameter. Cropmarks of a central polygonal or rectangular structure are also visible, which may be part of a central burial or cist. This site lies c.38m north-east of a former cairn examined in the 1930s (NPRN 309540) and c.48m south of the main chambered tomb. Images refs: AP_2006_3457-9.
