Description
Cropmarks recorded during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance on 13th June 2008 (image refs: AP_2008_1216-19) show a rectangular ditched enclosure, with squared corners, sited on a slight river promontory overlooking the Afon Rheidol. The enclosure measures c.44m east-west by 22m north-south and is incomplete on its south side, where river erosion may have destroyed part of the enclosure. Although possibly Iron Age in date, representing a lowland defended enclosure or farmstead, the enclosure is equally likely to have a medieval or later agricultural origin.

T. Driver, RCAHMW, 11 Dec 2008.
