Description
In 1935, 288 coins were found in a field near Caebardd farm and further coins noted during ploughing in 1981. Excavation revealed two Roman pots containing large numbers of bronze coins from the period of Costantine, ranging in date between AD 318-328. Further coins were found scattered in the vicinity bringing the total to 4,666. The coins had been buried in a colour coated beaker of Oxfordshire Ware and a storage jar of Severn Valley Ware.
