The Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod Wells began as Coleman's Hotel in 1872; in 1885 the Hotel was sold and became the Bridge Hotel. The glass roofed verandah which runs the entire front of the building was added at this time. In 1897 the hotel both was enlarged and renamed the Metropole.
