As one of a row of slate quarrymen's cottages, built for the Cymerau Quarries in the mid-late C19 this building is an interesting survival of a major industry in the Corris area. The Quarries were first leased in 1853 and ceased trading after 1933. Number 1 has been much altered, with C20 uPVC windows and door in the original openings.
