Modern purpose-built government offices completed in 2009. The original architectural scheme for both buildings was developed by Carillion, who went on to develop the Welsh Assembly Government building. Due to decisions of cost the Wilmott Dixon Group went ahead with a new design and development for the separate County Council building, 'Canolfan Rheidol'. Visualisations of the original design schemes have been deposited in the NMRW.
