Description
A small coastal limestone quarry 40m long by 20m wide situated 30m from the edge of the sea cliffs and next to the defences of the Flimstone Bay Camp promontory fort (NPRN 94227). Surrounding this quarry there is evidence of further small scale quarrying cutting into the coastal slope, and partially disturbing the defences of the fort.

The quarry is first depicted on the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey of 1908. A narrow path, possibly a barrow run, runs from the quarry into the interior of the promontory fort and joins with a terraced road (NPRN 409292) which leads to a quay (NPRN 409293) at the southern tip of the promontory, known as Flimston Castles. Material from the quarry is said to have been loaded onto boats from this quay and transported to the lime kiln at Stackpole Quay (NPRN 40732)
