Description
At the southern tip of Flimston Castles promontory is a small quay. Here a level platform some 5m wide has been cut into the limestone cliffs and sections of wall, together with a series of rock cut steps survive. The tidal range of this area is around 6m, thus at high tides, there would have been a period of time when cargo could be loaded onto sailing vessels via a crane.

The quay is approached on the land side by a terraced road (NPRN 409292), that is depicted on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey of 1865. One use of the quay was for the transport of limestone from a nearby quarry (NPRN 409291) to a lime kiln at Stackpole Quay (NPRN 40732).
