A substantial two storey farmhouse with dairy extension on the N side. A water wheel with launder of corrugated sheeting survives at the side of the dairy. The house was the birthplace of the poet William Francis Hughes, known as "Wiliam Oerddwr". A slate plaque over the main door commemorates this: "Yn y Ffermdy hwm, y ganed ac y maged, William Francis Hughes, "William Oerddwr", 1879 - 1966".

Just to the S of the house are a range of stores and other outbuildings, including a separate barn set at right angles, to the SW.
